The two men and a woman were allegedly trying to steal a camera, cordless telephone, clothes, and three pairs of Motorola walkie-talkies. The merchandise was worth $434.

Possession of marijuana, 200 block of Overland, Aug. 3: Police arrested a 24-year-old man after it was discovered the man had four warrants for not having insurance. Officers first approached the man because he was parked illegally. A post-arrest search produced a marijuana cigarette. Theft, 1400 block of Airway, Aug.

4: A 68-year-old woman told police that her wallet was stolen in a hair salon. The woman said she left the wallet on the hairdresser's counter while she had her hair washed. Minutes later, the women said, she returned and noticed the wallet missing. The woman said the wallet had all of her identification, a credit card and $75. Theft, 2430 block of McRae, Aug.

4: A computer salesman told police someone took four laptop computers from a classroom in Eastwood High School. The man said he was in the process of presenting the computers to school officials for possible purchase. Officers noticed that there were no signs of forced entry. The computers were worth $6,000. Northeast Central Police arrested a man for not having a car dealer's license after he advertised a car for sale in a supermarket parking lot.

Police first received a call about a carjacking. They found that the 1988 Buick Regal was not stolen but that the man selling the car. was not the registered owner. After his arrest, the man was cited and released. Unlawful carrying of a weapon, 9400 block of Dyer, Aug.

3: Police arrested a 22-yearold man and a 31-year-old man for carrying nunchuks, a martial arts weapon, in their car. Police first stopped the men because they were not wearing seat belts. Officers then discovered the weapon and drug paraphernalia.
